Application:
Furazolidone is a fungicide with a wide antibacterial spectrum. The most sensitive bacteria are Escherichia coli, Bacillus anthracis, Salmonella paratyphoid, Shigella dysenteriae, and Klebsiella pneumoniae. It is mainly used for bacterial dysentery, enteritis, cholera, and can also be used for typhoid fever, paratyphoid fever, Giardia, trichomoniasis, etc. Combined use with antacids and other medications can treat gastric antral inflammation caused by Helicobacter pylori.
