Application:
Although arsenic trioxide is a highly toxic substance, it can become a useful raw material in industrial production through certain processing and limited use.
(1) Used for extracting elemental arsenic, it is a raw material for smelting arsenic alloys and manufacturing semiconductors.
(2) Glass industry uses it as a clarifying and decolorizing agent to enhance the transparency of glass products.
(3) Used in agriculture as disinfectants and rust removers for pest control, and also as raw materials for other arsenic containing insecticides and pesticides.
(4) Used for the manufacturing of coatings and dyes. Can be used as a chemical reagent. It is also used for gas desulfurization, wood anti-corrosion, boiler scale prevention, as well as ceramics and enamel.
(5) Used as analytical reagents, such as reference reagents and reducing agents. Chlorine absorbent. It is also used for the preparation of arsenite salts and as a preservative.
(6) Used in the glass, enamel, pigment industries and for the preparation of drugs, insecticides, leather preservatives, etc.
